I graduated from Mary Baldwin College in 2003 with a BA in Computer Information Systems with an emphasis in Database Administration. I now work at VCU - Med Campus.
I love being creative and using my hands. I am a big fan of the arts and I love museums. I enjoy painting, both with acrylics and oils, doing sculpture and mixed media art, scrapbooking, and crafting when I get the chance, though that's not often. I love to cook and started my own blogspot based on cooking and gardening (http://houseofrew.blogspot.com). I would love to be the next Rachael Ray...minus the crazy made-up vocab. I get a lot of inspiration from Food Network chefs and my grandmothers, who started teaching me how to cook when I was little. I've also tried my hand at knitting, but that didn't work out too well. I LOVE animals, especially horses.
I live in Sandston, VA with my fiance, Jeff (![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) crazedvw). We are getting married in April 2009.
Our son Matthew was born on February 20, 2006. Between him and our two dogs (pug & cocker spaniel), I rarely have to pay for entertainment. We also have a mini Rex rabbit named Roxy, a goldfish, and a stray outdoor cat we semi-adopted that we like to call Deebo. We are in the process of creating a family website (HouseofRew.com) in hopes to keep our friends and families connected and up-to-date with our busy lives.
My journal is friends-only for the most part so if you want me to add you just reply to one of my public entires or shoot me an email. I mostly post about my life, my family, and my job. I also use this journal to vent when I need to, so if you have a problem with that, then don't friend me. I'm very open-minded and a non-judgemental mom. I don't appreciate parents who judge others for not parenting the same way that they do. I'm the one who knows what's best for MY child. You're the one who knows what's best for YOUR child. If you agree with that, we'll get along great!
